Senior User Acquisition Manager (LATAM)

You will be responsible for driving aggressive user acquisition by localizing and optimizing digital marketing and paid media channels across key markets in the LATAM region. This role requires an extensive understanding of the nuances and differences in the Gen Z mindset and pop culture by country, expertise in media strategy and buying, a proven track record of developing and optimizing creatives, and the experience and ability to build and strengthen relationships with new partners and local agencies in the region.

As part of WEBTOON’s Marketing Team in LA, you will work closely with numerous international teams to successfully execute all LATAM marketing campaigns. 

You are self-motivated, nimble, goal-oriented, and always up for a new challenge. You are a highly collaborative teammate in a growing team, but also comfortable working independently in a scrappy, start-up-like environment. You are not afraid to think outside the box and are willing to get your hands dirty to see each project to completion.

Essential Duties

  • Develop and execute media strategy and digital campaigns that are culturally and timely relevant, on-trend, and resonate with the LATAM Gen Z market. 
  • Define and manage digital marketing KPIs and monitor campaign/creative performance to swiftly adjust tactics as needed. 
  • Optimize country-specific and media-specific campaign strategies to maximize user acquisition.
  • Interface daily with the Social Media and Creative Team to develop and optimize creatives across paid and organic digital marketing channels.  
  • Manage and develop network of local marketing partners and creative agencies as necessary.
  • Inform Content Team on developing star content for the LATAM market based on marketing insights and campaign performance. 
  • Other special marketing projects as assigned. 

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years relevant work experience leading digital marketing and advertising campaigns.
  • Spanish and English Bilingual. Professional working proficiency in both is REQUIRED to be considered for this role.
  • Expert in LATAM Gen Z culture and trends, and in translating these insights into effective marketing strategy. 
  • High regard for WEBTOON, comics, animation, gaming, music, cinema, and entertainment, with industry experience in these areas preferred. 
  • Experience launching and building marketing campaigns from the ground up, including defining and targeting key audience segments, and media buying. 
  • Advanced knowledge in user acquisition, digital marketing, social media, MMPs, data analytics, and multi-channel mass advertising. 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills with excellent organizational ability 
  • Strong track record of developing and writing strategic, clear briefs for internal and external alignment that resulted in fun, exciting, and memorable marketing campaigns. 
  • Management of campaign roadmap, milestones, deliverables and results, with proven ability to collect, analyze, and use data to improve campaign and creative performance. 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders and teams. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and execute multiple projects with enthusiasm and attention to detail.
